North Texas Athletics and the Mean Green Scholarship Fund have announced the 2021 Kick Off Celebration event for Saturday, August 14. The event, scheduled to take place at the Apogee Stadium HUB Club, marks the beginning of the 2021-22 athletic year and will give fans the opportunity to hear from Mean Green coaches and vice president and director of athletics Wren Baker.

The Kick Off Celebration event will begin at 11:00 a.m. allowing fans to get their first look at the Mean Green football team during an open practice period. During the event, attendees will have the option to purchase season and single-game tickets, sign up for the Scrappy Squad kid's club, join the Mean Green Scholarship Fund and more. Season ticket holders will also have the opportunity to pick up their parking passes for the 2021 football season.

Complimentary food and soft drinks will be provided by Mean Green Concessions, with beer and wine available for purchase.  Fletcher's Corny Dogs will also be marking their return to Apogee Stadium with free corny dogs for the first 500 fans in attendance.

The HUB Club portion of the event will conclude at 1:00 p.m. and fans will be invited to tour the Lovelace and McNatt Families Indoor Practice Facility.
