A stud nose tackle is probably the most important position on D IMO.   If that is the case, we have a good one and should expect much better things from our D overall this season.

I read somewhere he got chopped against dirty Rice and was playing on a bad wheel all season.  That's probably the primary reason he is here.  Guy is extremely motivated to show the NFL what he can do and that he can remain healthy and consistent for an entire season.

Should help out McCrae if he wants to see the field.   LeBlanc is big enough to eat at the 3-tech already, and I bet Hutchings and I bet Enoch Jackson will be eager to play as well.

I don't know that I see McCrae playing out on the ends anymore, save for depth, with the Murphy twins ready to play now.  He was largely ineffective out there anyway (although last year's schemes made just about everyone largely ineffective).

Guess he is playing DT. Can’t remember if Vito or Brune said that was the case in spring, but I remember at least one of them reported as such. Mccrae and Novil inside with the Murphy twins outside definitely sounds like a solid group on paper.

He's saying he's up 20 pounds from last year's playing weight... on his way to a target weight of 280-something pounds.
