Not NT related, but VERY disappointed the USGA did not put Koepka and Dechambeau together for rounds 1 and 2.

Why?  It is would be nothing more than a distraction.

I understand your point, but if they are going to be paired together in opening rounds, I would prefer it not be the U.S. Open.  This is traditionally the toughest set-up for the golfers and an added distraction of playing with someone you hate could take away from their performance.  Let the Quad Cities Open, or something of that stature, pair them up, but I prefer to see the players playing their best at the U.S. Open and not distracted by some man made arrrangement.

FYI, there is another Ortiz, Alvaro, from Mexico in the field who has already teed off and is -1 through 3 holes.  The updated tee times for Carlos and Sebastian are below.

Carlos Ortiz: 5:28pm CST on #1

Sebastian Munoz: 5:39 CST on #10

Just discovered that Alvaro is Carlos' brother.  I posted a link to a story in another thread.

I guess the first round is suspended due to darkness.

Munoz is T5th at -2 through 14.

Ortiz is T78th at +3 through 15.

Leaders are at -4.

Both are right at the cut line and need some birdies, or others falling off the pace, today to make it to the weekend.
