The team will be better overall than the 2020 version that went 4-6 and got ripped to shreds in the inaugural Myrtle Beach Bowl, but it’s going to be a rough run.

The nation’s worst defense is going to be better. There’s too much experience, too much depth, and too many changes being made to be totally miserable again, but it’s not going to become a brick wall in one offseason.

The best offense in Conference USA won’t be quite as strong, but it’ll still be among the most dynamic, balanced, and with enough pop to keep up the pace against just about everyone.

The problem is the schedule. It’s hard.
