Injury update as well as some feedback from a Dr who is typically pretty spot on with his analysis of NFL injuries.  

Sucks to see because the role he likely would have had will probably be taken over by their 3rd round pick, RB Trey Sermon from Oklahoma.

The date of this story is May 25 and they use the term "recently".  The 49ers season has been over since February.  I wonder why they waited so long for Jeff to have this repaired ?  Had he had the surgery in March he would be well on the road to recovery by now.

Teams are currently going through OTAs, so it's possible he got injured during the offseason program.

The obvious reaction to this is, the injury was recent.

…just combing around the 49er network, language like “Wilson was missing at today’s OTA” suggest not even the program knew about it.

Stumbled upon a recent article that says they aren’t sure right now where or how it happened.
