I wonder how many of those programs losing money are paying 10 million per year or more in athletic department staff (including coaches) salary?
Everyone paid by FBS football is overpaid if they are losing money. That did just start with NIL.
Bear Bryant maxed out with a salary that was around $1.5 million in 2018 buying power ($450k in 1982). And now little old (football wise) North Texas is paying Eric Morris $1.3 million. And that is down from the $1.9 UNT paid Seth in 2020.

The greed and mismanagement is absurd.
Of course it’s not fair but it’s far closer than it was. Or are you saying it’s unfairly weighted towards the players over the institutions now? If so, explain how? Otherwise there’s just no substance behind anything you’re contending.
If you wanna talk quality wins the same could be said about Texas this year. You can almost count on the fact until there are 5 teams from the SEC and five teams from the Big Ten those two conferences will not be happy. The other two slots could be left for Notre Dame and one other team.
