FRISCO, Texas – Football is back. The Frisco Fighters hit the road to kick off the season in Spokane, Wash. against the Spokane Shock this Saturday, May 15 at 9:05 p.m. CT. 

 

The team is led by prolific AFL quarterback-turned-coach, Clint Dolezel. His 13-year playing career landed him a spot in the AFL Hall of Fame. Dolezel found just as much success in his 13 seasons of coaching, named AFL Coach of the Year three times. 

 

“Our mindset is to win – to go out, play well, and execute,” said Dolezel. “The focus right now is to make sure all eight guys are doing their job. After having a year off, I’m pretty excited to get back out there.” 

 

And the team is just as excited. Let’s meet the 2021 Frisco Fighters.

This actually sounds like fun.  Dolezel played for an AFL team called the Milwaukee Mustangs back during the single season Fort Worth had an arena team.  Arena games are a blast.  May have to tune in to this.

Agree.  You know these guys aren't getting paid a lot so they are playing for the love of the game primarily.

He also played for the Dallas Desperados when Jerry Jones owned an AFL team. They played out of the AAC in dallas.

Aaron Bellazin and Eric Jenkins were on the roster last season. I guess they’ve moved on or didn’t make the team.

Glad to see she weathered the storm and has landed on her feet.

Got to watch the second half of the game.  Should be a blast once they are able to put people in the stands.

We are listed as North Texas State for Loren Easly who now plays for the Green Bay team. Sucks but par for the course I suppose.
