I understand McCasland that is cut and dry, but sorry Mitchell's team fell apart end of season, conveniently after extension talks were firmed up.

It has been chronicled here and in other places that Jalie has suffered more than her fair share of injuries and thus should be given more time.  Look at her roster now and you will see it dripping with high major talent. Her problem is she struggles to keep them all happy which is not uncommon.  I just wish people would go a little easier on our alums in terms of job reviews.

I don't understand your last point.   There is no reason to go easier on anyone.  The record is what matters.  Mitchell just had her best record ever, but she is still way under .500 as a NT hc.  NT should be loaded next year, but I would have preferred that she be rewarded after a great team next year.   

NT has a record of giving great contracts to coaches who than don't perform.  I can't believe that Mitchell with her record would have been likely to have gotten any better offers.
