The women just wrapped up their quarterfinal game against a good WKU team.  We were the home team playing on WKU's field and jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with Trautwein on the mound.

Final:

UNT 4

WKU 1

Trautwein threw a complete game surrendering two hits, one run, while striking out nine.

Walker and Cobb both hit HR's.

We will face the winner of the UAB/Charlotte game that is scheduled to start at 5pm today.  The semi-final game will be tomorrow at noon on ESPN+

With Hope going the distance, everyone else is fresh for the semifinal.

My guess (disclaimer: I know nothing about how coaches rotate pitchers), they do w/e the hell they want in the semis to rest Hope, and Hope gets the start in the title game.

I agree. Wall is capable of winning that game without Hope. UAB had to use 2 pitchers tonight to beat Charlotte .

Does anyone know if the semis are actually on ESPN+? I checked last night and it had just about every conference but ours

Fall to UAB

Had our chances in the 6th - UAB center fielder made a great catch to keep it from being tied. Our bats are not too much of a weapon

Disappointing loss, although apparently not many care.

Not much reaction on this board and it didn't look like WKU had over 100 fans in the stands despite it being there.

NT played a bunch of freshmen so the future looks bright.

Really enjoyed this season. Only made one game live, but kept my eyes on the intra-game stats all season. Stomach ached through two games yesterday, all via the stats. Maybe it is selective memory, but it seems like the offense wasn’t as strong as prior seasons this year. We have had good pitching many seasons but we also scored enough runs in many of those games to take the pressure off.

I think we had a favorable schedule and excellent pitching this season, and a lot of young players got great experience.

We will be better next year....and that is off perhaps the programs best year.
