That’s fantastic. Wish our Football team could compete at the level of all our other sports. We have a great sports program but it keeps getting overshadowed by our below average football team.

Brilliant.  Thanks for posting.  Our women have been quite amazing over the years.   Just look at Soccer, Softball, Volleyball,  improvement in Basketball ... all respect to the ladies.   Each of these sports has knocked off top 20 teams on a yearly basis along with major conference wins, not just C-USA.   And dont give me political crap for saying, damn good looking bunch.   Go Mean Green !!

Seems like tennis and soccer were in a bit of a rebuilding year but I would bet they come back strong next year.

Then maybe we’ll see them appearing on the Football Forum too soon.

The women got assigned to play their regionals (may 10-12) in Baton Rouge where they are the 10 seed. 6 Teams will qualify for the final tournament, so they will need to play fairly well, but it is definitely possible to pull it off as there is not all that much real estate rankings wise between the 4 seed and the 14th team.

The field is (sagarin rankings)

  1. LSU (5)
  2. Ole Miss (6)
  3. Baylor (8)
  4. Oregon (19)
  5. Maryland (20)
  6. Alabama (29)
  7. Oregon State (40)
  8. Houston (24)
  9. Miami (30)
  10. North Texas (37)
  11. Purdue (46)
  12. Mississippi State (38)
  13. Tulsa (50)
  14. Sam Houston State (39)
  15. Kennesaw State (61)
  16. East Tennessee State (71)
  17. Jacksonville State (104)
  18. Quinnipiac (196)

Elsewhere in the conference UTSA got an at large bid, but ODU did not go so lucky and only got an individual to go.
