It's an exciting time for rising junior football prospects. After racking up offers over the past year, they finally get to take unofficial visits to the programs showing them interest starting June 1.

Guyer High 2023 quarterback Jackson Arnold is preparing to take a regional approach to his summer plans, which will likely include a visit to Arkansas. The Razorbacks extended Arnold's fourth offer after Michigan St, Tulsa and North Texas jumped on him in late March of this year. Colorado, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss have also offered.

Speaking on Thursday's episode of the 247Sports Football Recruiting Podcast, 247Sports Midlands region recruiting analyst Gabe Brooks pointed out 2023 quarterback Jackson Arnold. The Denton (Texas) Guyer product is not rated in the system due to the fact that he played behind now-Texas A&M quarterback Eli Stowers during his sophomore year of high school, so Brooks highlighted him as someone who could be in-line to get some more attention, pointing out that he already has several Power Five offers.

Underclassmen of the Week

2023 Denton Guyer QB Jackson Arnold (6'1, 195) was the talk of the Texas State 7-on-7 Championships.

The talented rising junior helped lead Guyer to the Consolation Bracket Championship, lighting up the scoreboard along the way.

Arnold has collected scholarship offers from schools like TCU, North Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Tulsa.

Jackson Arnold, 2023 QB, Denton Guyer -- we talked about Arnold in Friday evening's Day 2 notes, but he once again delivered Saturday in Division I consolation bracket play. Arnold led Guyer to the consolation championship as the Wildcats averaged 30.4 points per game (in 30-minute games, as opposed to the 40-minute games in previous years) in five Saturday victories, culminating in the 40-20 triumph against Cy-Fair. Arnold once again showed precision and consistency with the requisite velocity to regularly fit throws into tight windows in the short-to-intermediate passing game. He hit big throws downfield all weekend and certainly possesses vertical arm strength. Arkansas, Ole Miss, TCU, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Tulsa, and North Texas have offered Arnold.

OU Sophomore QB Jackson Arnold has been replaced as starter by Freshman Michael Hawkins Jr. coach Brent Venables announced Monday. Jackson Arnold, the former Denton Guyer star and North Texas recruit, was benched at the end of the first half versus Tennessee.

Jackson Arnold will almost certainly be in the transfer portal later this season. There's no reason to risk spending his career riding the bench at Oklahoma. Will North Texas be near the top of his list of transfer destinations for his Junior year services?

It may be his best option considering he could then evaluate his options after a year producing huge numbers playing in his home town in Eric Morris' pass intensive offense.

UNT receiver Landon Sides, Arnold's top target at Guyer, would certainly appreciate the acquisition as the two could mutually raise their NIL values and draft stock.

Projection First Round

Reminds Us Of Taylor HeinickeWashington Commanders

Adequate height with the requisite frame and solid build. Functional athlete with enough suddenness in tight quarters to evade pass rushers and extend plays. RPO threat. Ball gets out fast with good velocity to multiple levels. Very good touch passer, whether vertically to the perimeter or elsewhere. Displays the requisite deep-ball strength fostered by a loose, live arm. Changes delivery angle as needed and maintains zip and accuracy. Shows ability to layer throws and beat zone windows. Good runner with above average speed relative to position and open-field lateral nuance that yields extra yards. Advanced pocket presence and rush awareness. Uses the inverted pivot to buy time and find receivers. Accurate from the pocket and on the move. Owns the desired demeanor for the position. Calm, poised, and competitive. Strong production vs. elite competition relative to the high school level (Texas 6A). Led team to Texas 6A D-II state title appearance as a junior. Values the ball. Only five interceptions in 445 throws as a junior (one INT every 89 attempts). Big enough but lacks elite frame potential. Deep shots occasionally have too much air. Through 2021 season appears to be the clear No. 1 QB in Texas for the 2023 recruiting cycle. Projects as a high-major starter for multiple years with a long-term NFL Draft ceiling.

An absolute no-brainer and requiring Eric Morris' 100% attention as soon as he's in the portal (if not via back-channels beforehand).

Would he be willing to transfer in with the possibility of Chandler Morris playing his senior year for the dear ol' green and white?

Way to early for him to give up on OU and other P4 opportunities ($$$). I would love him here but I would be shocked if a long line of suitors aren't monitoring his situation.
