Huh?  A 4.4 forty, if official, is PLENTY fast

Closer to 4.5 and may have been that with electronic timing.  4.47 is fine but something closer to 4.3  would have been better.

And a 4.1 would have been best.

I would prefer a 4.09.  That would be faster than a 4.1

For what it's worth, UNT football has aged all of us at least 30 years and made us jaded fans. We search every nook and cranny expecting bad things, just like we search our couch cushions for that last quarter to pay for our season tickets, just knowing that there's a hidden push pin waiting to get us. The push pin ALWAYS gets us.

His shuttle and 3 cone times showed what NFL teams would want to see in a slot receiver.
Quick and elusive.
The 40 time is not elite but, very good.
Young man will be drafted and hopefully will have a long productive career.

Just for comparison, here’s Rico’s pro day numbers:

Measurements
Height - 6.00.3

Arm length - 33
Wing span - 79.6

Vertical leap - 38.5
Bench press - 13
Long Jump - 10'4"
40 #1 - 4.51
40 #2 - 4.49
Shuttle - 4.26
3-cone drill - 7.21

As you can see below from his relative athletic score the only measurable in which he is not elite or close to it is height, weight and bench. The list of NFL receivers below 5'8 that have been drafted isn't a pretty one in terms of longevity or success. That doesn't bode well for him but doesn't mean I doubt him for a second. The NFL awarded ten compensatory picks to teams at the end of the third round for this draft. I don't think he'll go before the end of the 3rd round but he could still be a day 2 pick when comp picks start between 96 and 105. Would really like to see the Ravens pick him at 104, or the Chargers at 97 to reunite him with Guyton.

4.3 lol. C'mon man. 4.47 is very fast given his stature and what teams will be asking of him at the next level.
