We will be having a socially-distanced, in-person press conference tomorrow, Tuesday, March 23 with head coach Seth Littrell and former Mean Green football and current NFL prospect player Jaelon Darden. Darden will be holding his pro-day in front of several NFL scouts this Thursday, in preparation for the upcoming NFL draft April 29th. Darden will have no media availability on Thursday.

Darden finished second in the nation in 2020 with 19 receiving TDs, only four behind Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith of Alabama despite playing in four less games than Smith. He also finished third nationally in receiving yards per game and finished his UNT career as the school’s all-time leader in receptions, yards and touchdowns. He is looking to become the first Mean Green player to get drafted since Cody Spencer went in the sixth round of the 2004 NFL draft.
