I think this team has done more to elevate the status of North Texas than any previous accomplishment.  More than Joe Greene, more than Apogee Stadium and more than the One O’clock Lab Band.

More people, nation wide, know the name North Texas and Mean Green than ever before and any further success in the tournament will only increase that awareness.

GO MEAN GREEN

The ACU win over Texas was not ideal for us as Cinderella darlings that’s for sure (especially in our own state!).

Makes it more imperative we beat Villanova...  which we will...  so we can keep dancing while the other Cinderellas go home.

Yes, we are yesterday's news by now. Win tonight (which we will) and it will start all over again.  BTW, I must admit to getting a bit weepy eyed after the game with Purdue. For us oldtimers, this has been so long in coming.

Reality is folks, we need to be happy for acu, unt, and any other low seed in this tournament that's beating the upper seeds. when there is better chance for those smaller teams to recruit better get to the Sweet 16, at some point selection committee won't be able to put all the low speed teams playing each other and knock each of the low seed teams out.

March madness allows for true competition, just like the miracle on ice against the Russians!!!

Go Mean Green!! It's sweet 16 time, for the mean green Nation!!!

Arkansas game with the kick off return was huuuuge! GMG

It was, but I don't think as big as this was.  I got people giving me congratulations that didn't even then.

Unless NT wins another, not going to be a big deal for the status of NT.  For long suffering NT fans a big deal, for the general fan a team that wins one game in the NCAA tournament is not even thought worthy.

I was disappointed in ESPN. After Oral Roberts completed the upset, they continued that game as their main front page story. Once the Mean Green finished their job, any proof of our magnificence was wiped off the front page; in fact, the only evidence from the game was video of Purdue's fast break poster.
