- We beat WKU to win the title last year...but there was a bit of an asterisk in the minds of some people.  They didn’t have Bassey.  Well, this year they did and It didn’t matter.

- We started out white hot, and if we didn’t get sloppy to end the first half and come out of the locker room we might have run away and hid.

- Western has a ton of heart.  They are obviously well coached and I believe deserve an NCAA bid because they are certainly one of the 64 best teams in the country.  If they don’t get one I will be at the pit rooting for them if they’re in the NIT

- North Texas has been to the Big Dance four times in history.  I am so lucky to have been there for three of the championship games that sent us there.  But I am especially blessed because my three future Mean Green alums got to witness this one with me.  

- Hamlet is a warrior.  Period.

One thing I will add too is that, at least in these last two games, is that UNT balled out at the free throw line. Too many times, even in the pros, teams kill themselves missing key FT's when they're trying to make a comeback or have an opportunity to put the game away.

However, the refs totally could have called a technical foul on Terence Lewis for running onto the court before when WKU inbounded with 2.5 seconds left.

We should've won by 20. Sadly, that was our 4th game in 4 days, and WKU is a good team.

      That is very subjective. Boise State or UNLV probably will get the G5 spot in the playoff over a one loss Army team. Louisville, SMU, Houston, Rutgers and Cincinnati left conference for greener pastures. So I don’t know who anointed the AAC as 5th, but the playoff committee isn’t listening to them. Army, a team brand new to the conference that came into the conference and dominated. They were independent juggernauts last year at 6-6 🙄. AAC is viewed as better than the MAC, CUSA and Sun Belt. But we certainly won’t be viewed as better than the reconstructed PAC 12 and right now it doesn’t look like we are viewed better than the current MWC.

      Football at The Dat next wrekend

      Don't if y'all know this or not.....but the last two years we've had Texas high school football games played in Louisiana. Both years the games have been at Turpin Stadium in Natchitoches. As a matter of fact, this year they hosted two games on the same day. (Daingerfield versus Newton, and Texarkana versus Port Neches Grove). Both games were last Friday.
