Good second round for Ortiz. Finishes T22 after a round at four under par. He also stands at -4 overall five shots out of the lead with a few players still on the course.  The weather is terrible right now, so his position shouldn’t move much.

Factoid from Justin Ray, 15thclub.com:

Carlos Ortiz was tied for 88th after day 1 at Torrey Pines. He's now the 54-hole co-leader. It's the biggest leap from round one position to 54-hole leader at this event since Jerry Kelly in 2002 (T-91st).

Great day.  I think he tied for the low round.  Here's to another solid round on Sunday for Carlos.  The great thing is that we will get to watch him since he will be in the final grouping.

Shot +6 on the day.  I didn't see much but late in the round the announcers mentioned that he had trouble finding the fairway.

I watched a lot of the tournament today, up until Carlos was out of it. Yes, Carlos’ driver was not his friend today.
