 nUTSAc ranked number one with rice and UTEP ahead of not so mean green....

Think we'll be better than where these rankings have NT.

After a Covid year and hopefully a much better defense, I doubt next year's standings finish anywhere near what this list shows. Sad side note:  Half if not 1/3 if the pictures chosen in the article are the opposing team making plays on our defense.

After the PB hire I feel we'll be much higher... have to be.  We've given Seth every possible tool we have to help him

Agree.

Think we'll be better than where these rankings have NT after the first Wednesday in February, because that’s when I think UNT will have its 3’rd good year in a row class. It’s not that bad now—hellsbells,  we just stole a top national recruit away from OU.  •I’m not sure if there is that much difference between #1 or #3 in CUSA recruiting lists, but we will all prefer #1, of course. 

••• What makes me suspicious of this list as of today are the ones who are on it that are never on it.  

  Best part going on in Mean Green Country now is we have a “D” game plan of recruiting with a known proven commodity of a HS recruiter deluxe (PB) whose already popular with Lone Star State high school coaches.  This will complement the Offense recruiting of Seth Littrell.  

 •••Can’t remember when we’ve ever had all the pistons running congruently as we do now, especially with  UNT administration support plus addIng all the new MeanGreen Big Spenders who are as excited as to what they see happening now with the long term as their objective for giving big bucks now.  

As FFR used to say:

      Restore College Sports Act

      Yes this model does favor private schools, but yet it gives some element of reason to the present situation. W/O something like this there will only be three at most “ super conferences” and the others will just be “ farm” teams for them. Football and BB drive the bus and support all the Olympic sports. If you drop to BB as the only revenue sport especially in Texas you eventually kill your entire athletics program! I use UTA as a prime example and they have baseball that at least contributes some revenue.

      Agree. We will be fine. We have always played programs that had "more" and deemed "above us" throughout our sports history....and we look forward to those games! But I would never be for dropping down to FCS or breaking away voluntarily. 1-AA was awful. They get no respect (or media) and still have NIL issues in those divisions too. No thanks!

      Yeah, he needs to hit homeruns with the last 5 scholarships. Right now, I only see about 12-14 wins against a comparable schedule to those in the recent past.       Good for Tennessee. Of course they started the mess by giving him pro money to begin with, then the kids do what pros do...hold out for more when their agent says they are worth more.

      That’s awesome…at least until some other jackass school gives him the $4mil he wants. If Tennessee truly moves on from him, I’ll be hoping they win their minor league conference.
