@BillySee58 One thing I've noticed in talking with a lot of the college guys is it doesn't seem to be an issue at UNT only.  The Freshman classes at all Universities have backlogged badly.

Kids that signed 3 classes ago, RS year, played, COVID year, still RS Soph by eligibility but SR in school this upcoming season.

Kids that signed 2 classes ago, Redshirted, COVID year, now they are RS Freshman still but JR in school this upcoming season.

Kids that signed last class, COVID Year, still have a RS, and are still a Freshman on the roster but will be Soph in school this upcoming season.

Kids that signed this class, Freshman.

3 classes of signees that will be some form of Freshman eligibility and you are looking at a roster nightmare at some point.  I believe the NCAA will have to come out and make some kind of amendments to the roster limits and scholarship numbers.

Correct. 2022 high school class is going to get squeezed, then 2023 probably will too. We have 66 scholarship players at the moment who are underclass men. Adding two recruiting class on top of that is going to be impossible if the team limit stays at 85, or if the budget does not allow for more.

Likely will mean the end of the roster guys are going to essentially start getting cut, and unfortunately will mean less likely for them to find a landing spot. A huge amount of transfers or “cuts” is inevitable.

Also, the incoming freshmen have been added to the roster

don't see the kicker from Van Alstyne (Beckham) on there.

I still believe sometime soon you will see the ncaaa make an exception to the yearly limits over a one or two-year to adjust the scholarships

This is likely going to be an issue as long as the superclass of 2020 and 2021 still has eligibility.
