Why does the NT newspaper not use the basketball section if they want to post articles for women's basketball?

      "The SEC's 14 teams were followed by the Big Ten with eight and Big 12 with seven. There are three potential second-round games between SEC teams -- the sort of matchups the committee is asked to avoid, but that became inevitable with the conference having so many teams in the field. The ACC, meanwhile, ended up with four teams, barely avoiding its worst showing since 2000, back when the conference was half the size it is now."

      Women's season is not over yet

      I did not actually look into the field until after I made this thread. But here are some notes. 48 teams, meaning we may need six wins to capture the title. Only one power conference team (11-19 Rutgers). All games played on campus Bracket is typically split regionally pretty well. There are four other teams in Texas participating that I'd keep an eye out on hosting: Abilene Christian, Tarleton, Texas Southern, and UT Arlington. We've already played ACU and TSU this season. Other AAC teams competing are Tulsa and UAB. Championship game broadcast on CBSSN. Last year's "Fab 4" were Saint Louis, Vermont, Minnesota, and Troy. Saint Louis ended up beating Minnesota in the final.

      Dayton will have to go on the road in the 1st round because they host the First Four every year.

      Eleven seeds have a slightly higher win percentage that 12s. Not sure if people consider 10s over 7s or 9s over 8s upsets.
