Since this Georgia State/WKU is about the 5th bowl game this year where a Sun Belt team is beating the brakes off of a CUSA team, we are officially in the worst conference in college football (and our defense STILL can’t stop anyone).

0-6 in bowls, CUSA got out scored by the SB by 95, and we scored the most points (gave up the most as well)

We are officially a BASKETBALL CONFERENCE

What about baseball too?

Was there really any question?   Unfortunately, until we see significant improvements in UNT, we are right where we belong.

I just don't get this thought process.  Is Vanderbilt where they need to be?  Is Kansas?  I could care less.  Liberty and Coastal Carolina are playing tonight and nobody watching cares that Liberty is an Independent and CC is in the Sun Belt.  IT doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

#getoutofCUSAnow

Hell, CUSA could kick us out and it’s probably help the league’s reputation and standing.

We suck bad, in the worst division in the worst conference in America. We are where we deserve to be.

In the G5 conference exists to get access to the CFP pools, provide scheduling, assign officials, calculate league stats, reward weekly and season play with player and coach awards and honors.

Bowls are less the negotiation skills of the conference and much more about the options available to a bowl and the financial commitment the conference is willing to make.

Likewise television is more about the wants and needs of the networks than negotiation skill.

Commissioners don’t hire and fire coaches, they don’t build facilities or determine allocation of resources on campus. They don’t pick the non-conference schedule and don’t have a significant role in fan engagement. They don’t raise money nor have a notable role in holding players, coaches, staff and administrators accountable.

Just as an aside, I went to the First Responders Bowl yesterday (free tickets for being a first responder, otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered).

While in the beer line (wearing my North Texas gear) a guy from ULL looks at me and says “Mean Green huh?  That’s in Denton, right?”  I said, “Yeah, we used to be in a conference together”

He looked at me and said “Until you guys thought you were leaving for a better conference”

It’s funny how cocky Sun Belt fans have gotten over the past year. I really wish next year this conference just blows out everyone, but of course that’s not happening.

Hire staff, run league events and cope with the 8-14 university presidents and equal number of ADs all of whom believe they are the boss.

haha imagine having to sit thru a conference call with tennis coaches where a few think they are God's gift to coaching. Sun Belt calls are always entertaining during tournament time.
