His career record is well below 0.500. How strong is the country club mentality? At what point do your friends say, “nah, you’ve had your chance. let’s give this up-and-coming-assistant a chance.”?

I'm still amazed at a 64 year old grad assistant🤔

It shows you that the top programs find a way to get talent involved.

Maybe he's one of those "students of life".

The Harsin hire doesn’t make a lot of sense, reminds of when Nebraska fired Solich. You’re firing a guy who averaged going 9-3 for a guy who at best will go 9-3. Harsin got snarky over the criticism he received at BSU. Good luck with that in Alabama.

Edit- After rechecking he averaged more like 8-4 in the regular season.

Thinking the same. Spent 20+million to get a new coach and this is it? Might turn out to be a great hire??

The SEC West now has the 2 upstarts in Harsin and Kiffen, 2 seasoned in Jimbo and Saban and the Leach factor. Definitely one of the most interesting divisions in football.

Harsin blocked every AState fan on Twitter who was critical.

He’s far from ready for the crazy of SEC media and fans.

I do respect him for firing himself as playcaller at AState after an awful start and promoting Gus leftover Eli Drinkwitz to the role saved the season.

I think he’s a terrible fit
