Of course not. There are so many people in that athletic department living under 6 figured salaries and to cap it off an AD knows he's safe at a place like UNT if the HFB coach is insulated with a high salaried long term contract. Baker has us by the nads and I'm pretty sure he knows it.

Not buying that excuse. The AD had money ready to send the basketball team to the Diamondhead Classic. The AD also paid to fly UTEP in, put them up in a hotel, and play at Apogee. Plus, buyouts are not paid all at once. And, the assistants work on one year contracts. Littrell could be gone tomorrow if our AD would do what is best for our program. If he won't hopefully our president and BOR will.

I agree.....Money is not a problem with this program.....

Yes, money is an acute problem.  Did you not notice that very few people could attend games?  Ticket sales, parking, advertising are almost gone.  

NT is primarily funded by student fees, and I would guess that will be a big issue with the current high reliant on online learning.  

I have been surprised not to see much worst money saving measures enacted.   

Hopefully, sports will be back to near normal by next football season.

We keep supporting the team and hope that magically SL learns to coach between years 5 & 6, because winning recruiting does not earn you a conference title.

      PAC soon on the Prowl again for more Football members...

      So we wait till Memphis, Tulane, and possibly South Florida head over too the AAC then see who their replacements are. We know who most of the PAC new members are. I don't know......Just seems NT is always late to these parties.

      Canzano: Next Pac-12 expansion bite getting a little clarity

      Maybe a half share to start then more later? They tried to low-ball Memphis and Tulane too and were turned down last year. More clarity once the media offer to them is made, and the Pac mediation with the MWC is settled over poaching fees. Both conferences need $$ to feed hungry schools they are trying to keep happy.

      Introductory Press Conference Link (4/4/25)

      As a 66' graduate and long time supporter of UNT athletics I have been to my share of announcements regarding new coaches and conferences but was pleasantly surprised at the VIP's in attendance today at coach D Rob's introduction. The Chairman of the BOR, Chancellor of UNT Systems,President of UNT Denton, and the Mayor of Denton were all there. In the past I don't remember anyone from that level of administration being involved. I met our new President and asked him to do me a favor. Please introduce the Director of Marketing to our Athletic Director as I don't think they know each other. He said all the right things and offered that we have work to do in our Brand Management and that he has brought some one on board to address that. I then met our Athletic Director for the first time and suggested to him that he, the President, and our new basketball coach should invite the leaders of the Basketball NIL's to lunch/dinner with the objective of transferring the relationship they had with Ross Hodge to coach D. Rob. On a personal note I got Covid twice and while contributing financially to the MGSF I gave up both my basketball and football season tickets. However I feel "born again" and purchased a season basketball ticket today. In addition I plan on buying 1 or 2 Club seats again for football dependent upon whether my 15year old grandson will commit to joining me. I have sever spinal stenosis and can't walk long distances but don't want to pay for white parking. While buying my basketball ticket I discovered today that we can use the blue parking lot, park by the athletic dorm , and catch a shuttle for the disabled [ I may need to limp a lot]to and from the stadium being dropped off and picked upat the Mean Joe Green statue. This is good to know for those who have a disability issue and were unaware of this service. If you have any questions I suggest you contact Allison.Wollenweber@unt.edu who was most helpful.       I think Mosley did a great job with this hire. I'm excited that they decided to stick with the identity of being a hard defense program and continue to build on that. I think it's a smart move. On another note: the Denton Mayor showed up. I don't recall him showing up for previous coach press conferences...is this a sign of stronger relationship with the city?
