I guess ND wants to prove how important they are. Agree, or not - this is OK. But to threaten to not participate unless they get their was is BS.

*For disclosure - Notre Dame is one of my two most disliked programs for the special treatment they receive, along with Texas. I agree with several of the ACC coaches who said if they want to join the league, fine, but picking and choosing is bull.

my guess is there is no way the give up that payday, but right now they can try and grandstand to get the game moved for the good of all involved.

I agree with the coach, families should be allowed to go see their kids play, if that cant happen in LA then move the game to somewhere they can

Playing in the “Rose Bowl” stadium is only about tradition, no other advantage of playing there exists without a crowd.

- No revenue from ticket sales

- No revenue from concessions or merchandise or parking

- Likely no parade because that is a public gathering 

 

The Rose Bowl in Fort Worth, or Vegas, or Milwaukee, or Detroit is the same as in LA given the realities of COVID.  
 

Hell, the NEW MEXICO Bowl is in Frisco
