I find it so hilarious that SMU has now made three bowls in 4 years, as a member of “P6” AAC, and they have gotten as opponents three CUSA opponents, La Tech, FAU, and now UTSA. It would appear that they really aren’t any higher up the FBS food chain than lowly ol’ UNT. I hope UTSA boat races them, just as the other two CUSA teams have done.

Is UTSA the first team to receive and accept bids to play in two bowl games in the same season?

Maybe all of the musical chairs will result with UTSA left out in the cold.  Where will Marshall and UAB wind up?  I was assuming one of them would land at the First Responders Bowl.

FRISCO Bowl is canceled and SMU has positive COVID results.  Might be wrong, but I can't help but wonder if a few of these student athletes/staffs relaxed a little on protocols (and staying in) after the regular season was done.

Sorry.  Gotta ask.  Did Southern Meth back out of the Frisco Bowl rather than play UTSA or is the entire team suddenly I’ll ?

Sounds like UTSA backed out first because they heard about SMU's test results.

Frisco Bowl then canceled itself.
