Texas basketball player of the year signs with UNT

Collin County Community College's Isaac Hines was selected Texas Junior College Men's Basketball Player of the Year by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. He has signed with North Texas.

Hines, a sophomore point guard from Molina High School, averaged 11.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 3.4 steals in leading CCCC to its second consecutive North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference title.

I thought PG would be one of the weaker positions next season after Jerome graduated, but now PG could be one of the strong points. Plus now that we have a legit PG, Sturns will be able to play SG and not have to worry about learning to be a D1 PG.

Perhaps our need at PG will be filled for the next couple of seasons w/ the departure of Lenard Hopkins. I thought the Roniger kid looked OK at point last season. Anyone know what happened to him?

He left during the season to go home.
