A little bit surprising to me.  Hopson hasn't had a losing season at USM until this godforsaken year.  This will be their 5th head coach in the last 10 years. 

I talked to a USM booster a couple years ago about their program, and he definitely gave me the feeling that the USM BMD's are not a patient lot. 

I just don't know how you don't chalk this year up to an aberration and give the staff a bit of a pass though.

Great hire.  We should have hired Coach Fritz but instead got laser focused on Littrell instead.  Fritz had been a head coach before and won championships so he was more proven.

Off the subject  here but Coastal Carolina had a large number of players transfer out a year ago and look where they are today.   Maybe we talk to their coach, wait were are stuck in a contract with SL for the next three years.

Has the rule changes taken defense out of college football or we do just hire loser after loser for the position?

Liberty gave him a huge raise, just to get more money from whoever buys out that contract at the P5 Freeze ends up coaching at in 2021.
