Murphy brothers and defense

Holy crap these young men are going to be SPECIAL!!! With either one of them (or both) rushing the QB, it made a huge difference. Ref could never!!

I think they could be the best duo in the conference next year. Not to mention they are JUST REDSHIRT FRESHMAN!!!! 
 

I really think our defense is going to be good next year. 1 year under the belt for Bowen, and a lot of talent comes back plus incoming freshman and transfers.

A bright future for the Murphy brothers and the overall defense!

I agree but we are really going to miss Novil in the middle. He abused the middle of the Rice OL today.

If he thinks he can make an NFL team he should leave.  DT's usually have a short shelf life.

And they’ll still have 4 years of eligibility after this year!

It was some of the best nose tackle play I've seen since Booger.

He had 5 TFL's which was one off of the school record set by Booger.
