••• We’ve not seen much “live” college  football this Fall during the Chinese  pandemic & there’s no guarantee what the balance of our season will be now so.........maybe good Mean Green football memories from these videos will help negate negative ones that can crop up during this COVID-19 idleness? 

•••The year was 2017 & the Mean Green traveled to Ruston to be La Tech’s opponent at their Homecoming game.

I was there! Sat on the 25 in the La Tech side because we didn’t get the UNT side sadly. 
When Barnes missed that field goal, my friend and I went nuts and proceeded to get booed for the rest of the game.

It was certainly a great game, and man do I miss those type of runs from Wilson here!

      2025 Spring Portal Entries

      For 2025 we have 12 recruits (11 high school and 1 JUCO, I believe). We have 26 transfers in and 30 transfers out (although not all have found new schools). This is what it is now, a revolving door roster although not to the level we saw last year. It will be interesting to see what the recruit (high school/JUCO) to transfer is over time. For 2025 for every 1 recruit, we brought in 2.36 transfers. It seems this is what we've been asking for...to hit the portal hard, but is this ratio too low, too high or just right?

      Lorient in the Portal

      I hope he sticks around, but as I said numerous times throughout the season I would never want to trust him as a number 1 option for our '25 roster, so if the investment has to be between B-Lo and a big time scoring guard, give me the latter.

      When the hell did we sign this guy?

      My point was that despite the offer list 247 rated him this highly giving their honest evaluation. Of the next 30 running backs ranked below him, 26 are committed to power teams including Tennessee A&M Michigan penn state USC. Obviously they see something in him to give him that kind of ranking.

      Jason Edwards transfers to....Providence?

      When players arrive via the portal, no one should be surprised when they leave via the portal. Many (most?, not sure) have agents managing these moves on their behalf. They are not student athletes anymore. We should simply view them as paid mercenaries for their respective sports.
