As we all know, the first quarter was not good on many levels including penalties.  By my count, we had nine penalties in the first quarter alone.  The good news is we didn't have another penalty, false start, until late in the 4th quarter.  I hope this is a sign of things to come.

I think a lot of those fault starts were caused by the MUTS barking signals.    A good tactic if that was actually what was going on.

It just seems more likely to me, than a team just not getting the signal count right that often.

Anterrious Gray has improved quit a bit.  He had a number of false starts earlier in the year, but has cleaned that up and is playing well.  I am actually quite surprised with our OL and think they are doing a good job.  They can always improve, but I don't think the OL is anywhere near the liability I expected coming in to this season.

Absolutely. Gray is becoming an excellent player for us, especially in the first year out of JC. Add in Farrell next year, and we will have nearly turned the corner on our OL. Coach Bloesch is a stud at developing and teaching.

Agreed. Bloesch has been the best OL coach we've had since Brad Davis, and look what happened to him.

It would be nice to get back to having asst. coaches hired away instead of being fired.

It would be nice to hold on to some and have some continuity from year to year.
