Since COVID-19 is affecting college football and teams are forced to use younger players, is the NCAA going to give players an extra year of eligibility if they have to burn a redshirt because of COVID-19 related issues?

Yes. Everyone’s eligibility has been frozen for this season

There is an NCAA-wide freeze on eligibility for this season.  Every single player (not just burned redshirts) will retain a year.

I have a sad suspicion that SL is using this to experiment with 2020 and he doesn't really give a flip about the W-L record.  Thinking of it as getting his cards in a row for 2021.

Look on the bright side, he will still be younger than Jason White at OU and Case Keenum at UH.

Ramon Flanagan was 50 when he left SMU and acted like he was 15 when he coached here at UNT...
