At least for me it is .... I can't keep going through this year after year. If UNT can't even be competitive with SMU then there's nothing this team can do to impress me the rest of the season. I can't even bare to watch next week against Houston.

Dude, you’re never gonna be happy if you think we should be beating SMU. They have more money, more history, more recruiting inroads and a better conference. This is only the way it’s been forever...

Don't be an apologist for this kind of result! Expect better. We should kick SMUs ass. There is no excuse for shitty play.

Since 2006, we have beaten them 3x, all in Denton, while they have beaten us badly in their 6 wins. So yeah, expecting different isn’t really based in reality, no matter how much we wish it wasn’t true.

There is a difference now we are spending money, this is more on Latrell's recruiting.. I believe recruiting is the key here.

Ok—but our recruiting has gotten a lot better under Littrell. A lot.

The problem with SL isn’t talent. It’s game plan and having absolutely no care about the defensive side of the ball that will never have him win much more than he has.

SL is basically the 180 degree opposite of Dan McCarney, who couldn’t recruit and couldn’t run an offense for this century.

I suspect that SL will get fired after next season and we will then replace him with someone who runs the triple option...it’s what we do here.

The most disappointing part of the game to me was when we scored a touchdown, still down 35 points and our guys are dancing around celebrating, doing pre planned hand shake deals etc.   It just shows these guys heads ar e totally in the wrong place.  That was embarrassing and disgraceful

I was escorted out of the stadium some years ago for laying into the team for this very thing. We were getting muzzle punched by like 4 tds and you would've thought the players were at a frat party. I've learned to just not care so much. Apathy is a strong feeling.

I expected to lose this game, but I didn't expect us to be curb stomped. It's pitiful when your offense generates 35 points and you still lose by 30. I am hoping that we are going through growing pains with Clint Bowen's defense. If not, then we better find someone who can coach defense. I honestly thought Ekeler would have been a better Defensive Coordinator.

Good. Tired of listening to people bitch.

Checking the dates just now of when each of you joined GMG.  2004 vs. 2017... I'd say he has a right to be pissed at tonight's performance and seemingly endless lack of turning the corner.  Tonight was a TD (that's Todd Dodge to the newer fan) performance only difference is that he made around 250k a year and don't even ask what his assistants made.
