2nd NASCAR date at TMS

I'm not a NASCAR fan, but from what I understand, they have secured a 2nd Nextel Cup race for the track starting with the 2005 season. The 2nd race is, I believe scheduled for November of 2005.

I believe that we should avoid, at all costs, playing a home game on that weekend. On the Saturdays, they hold their Busch series race which draws over 100,000.....and it would really tie up I-35W and probably some of I-35E for that matter. (Not to mention taking up probably every hotel room in Denton).

I guess, if worse came to worse....we could play on a Thursday night, but IMHO, we should avoid that weekend altogether.

I would almost schedule a game that weekend and invite all the Nascar Fans to get in free if they wear their Favorite NasCar shirt. Might be able to make some more fans

Only if they are fans of Bobby Labonte. Not only is there the Interstate Batteries connection, but the main color is green.

1st Fall race date was announced today as November 6, 2005. Hopefully, we'll be either on the road or have a bye.

Everyone should be a Bobby Labonte fan. For the NASCAR-challenged, he drives # 18. As if you can't notice the (Mean) Green car.
