Okay, I’m probably going to hex it by posting something about it, but I came one step closer to pulling off my pandemic friendly away game watching plan today.  Imagine watching the UNT away games outside with plenty of room to social distance.   Game on maybe the largest screen you’ve ever watched an away game on.  Room to spread out on your picnic blankets and folding chairs.  All while surrounded by accessible bars and restaurants, one with a Mean Green friendly patio overlooking the plaza where the game will be shown.  Conveniently located near the Collin/Denton county border.  UNT ties.  Can we pull it off?  We are getting closer.

Looking for a reason not to drive to Houston for a 6pm game... Lets make it happen!

I wasn’t able to pull this off for the game against Houston due to licensing conflicts with ESPN+, but things are looking more and more promising for the remaining away games.

Should we all show up at your house as plan B? I’ll bring the chips!

Apparently we are in some sort of athletic pergatory for past and future sins against the gods of sports network broadcasts.

Their upstairs area is nice.  Might be a little crisp on the patio outside though come Oct/Nov.  Is there a projector or big screens outside?

They have screens on the patio and heaters from the ceiling.

One game confirmed so far.   Haven’t been able to work out the patio (yet?),  but the game against UTEP on Halloween will be carried on the giant screen with audio in the Tostitos Championship Plaza at The Star in Frisco!   More details as the date gets closer.  I’m happy to find a place to do this where people can socially distance as much as they want yet still enjoy with fellow Mean Green faithful.  Be sure to wear a mask.  (I mean, it will be Halloween and all!  😉)
