Ok going to temper my excitement. Title says Lewisville, thread says Guyer, bio says Nolan Catholic. Is this a habitual school hopper? Because those don’t often stick.

Quoting for emphasis.  This might be a valid concern.

I have several students that played with with Vincent Paige in middle school and/or against him in high school (he does attend Nolan Catholic). Every one of my students had really good things to say about him. None of them had a negative comment about this recruit. That tells me he is the kind of young man and explosive athlete Littrell's staff needs to be targeting. In my opinion this is a great pick up.

Remember, in most cases parents choose to move. The kids don't really have a say in it. Yes, he has moved some, but he probably didn't get a choice in the matter.  Go Mean Green!!!

And, welcome to the Mean Green Family Vincent Paige!

Hopefully this doesn’t mean much. I know kids move around these days a bit, but there are a couple of potential red flags. I do, however, appreciate that he seems enthusiastic about NT and has been vocal on social media already, supporting the verbal of the new OL commit.

The Fort Worth native has had a rollercoaster career in high school, bouncing from Denton Guyer to Nolan Catholic to Lewisville and back to Nolan Catholic which is where he will play his senior season. There were reportedly problems between him and the coaching staff at Guyer that led to him leaving, but it is unclear as to why he continued to move across the North Texas region”

A couple good things going for us here are

1. Paige already chose us over 3 P5 offers. Last year we got Jayden Jones’ commitment before he had any other big offers, then when they started rolling in he wavered pretty quickly.

2. As a 6’2” defensive end I don’t know that he’s due for another big recruiting blow up. His offer list is already really good for a 6’2” defensive end and his bookend DE has even more offers, so his visibility isn’t an issue. Chances are a lot of the schools who have seen him and didn’t offer were deterred by his lack of height.

Either way, it’s always gonna be hard to hold onto a commit for 11 months, but definitely evidence that our recruiting momentum is still going strong.

I'm amp'd about this kid. He looks like an animal. A slight pony off of the above though, I wonder how he ended up choosing us even though we didn't make his original Top 4? A huge coup by the coaching staff? Bennett already working some magic?

From what I was told North Texas has been working on him for a while. Before Bennett came on board. Summarizing what I was told.... He liked Baylor a lot too, but North Texas seemed to have more to offer him. The "more to offer" could mean the opportunity to earn playing time as a true freshman. But, I am just guessing.
