Me too. Funny thing about those early days, how you learned when most don’t want to work and sign up for those times, which in turn led to more hours and promotions. My Junior year I got on at Montgomery Wards at Thanksgiving/Christmas time. So many people quit when the semester ended that I was assistant manager by week two. Then set my schedule to what ever I needed by week three. Good times.

I honestly don't know what to make of the Shockers this season.
Won their first seven games beating the likes of WKU, Northern Iowa, St. Louis and Minnesota, but then got blasted by Florida 88-51. They came back and won two more prior to losing by 19 to a pretty mediocre DePaul and by ten to Kansas City. After that, they beat KS St. big and wrapped up OOC play beating Friends by 19. Since AAC play started they have:
Lost to Temple by 6
Lost to USF by 19
Lost to utsa by 13
Beat Charlotte by 9
Lost to ECU by 3
Lost to Memphis by 8
Lost to Tulsa by 7.
It appears Mills has lost his team and is on the brink of going with a youth movement the remainder of the season.

"But when asked if a potential youth movement — more playing time for inexperienced players like Joy Ighovodja, Yanis Bamba, Zion Pipkin and T.J. Williams — would be considered moving forward, Mills nodded his head."
Defending the three seems to be a big problem.
"The Shockers’ lack of attention to detail once again caught up with them on Sunday. After allowing Tulsa to drill seven 3s in the first half, defending the 3-point arc was a major point of emphasis during halftime. Yet on the first play of the second half, WSU allowed Tulsa’s best shooter, Keaston Willis, to come off a screen and fire freely from the wing. Swish."
"In seven conference games, opponents have shot 43.4% beyond the arc against WSU. No other team in the 13-team league has given up better than 40% of 3s."
I've talked directly in the past to at least four AD's at events asking same type questions about spurring interest. It always starts with politician AD-speak,, chicken-and-egg comparisons....money = marketing = fans = money, etc. Then it ends up with a donation request.
In other words....they don't really know the answer either....or actually care...because their next job will be better than this one... they hope.
Short of an extended summer it'll be great football weather. I think we're in a great conference considering our potential and our past, but Washington State is definitely a bigger brand than a UTSA or a South Florida. We should see Wyoming numbers for sure.
