The original article is from ocregister.com but like everything else you might be slightly interested in these days, behind a paywall. Crazy there were a few people here who questioned whether or not he would have a chance in the NFL.

"2019 UDFA WR Jalen Guyton is playing the bulk of first-team reps with the Los Angeles Chargers, according to Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register. His role has been as the third wideout, or speed guy according to Mazano. "He now might be the frontrunner with Williams’ injury, but Tyron Johnson and Darius Jennings have pushed him in practices," wrote Manzano."

Not catching the ball with his hands is hurting him.  That and not coming back to the ball on the out that the CB batted away.  Easy fixes that he needs to work on.

That's the first thing I noticed. Also, I swear we said that when he was here

Guyton named as a camp "riser" over at The Athletic...

Quote

...So far in camp, though, he clearly is a darling of the coaching staff. Guyton was getting a majority of the reps as the third wide receiver with the first team, and that was before Mike Williams’ shoulder injury. Guyton is going to have to step up to fill the void left by Williams, who is likely to miss most of September. Guyton can absolutely fly...The physical tools are there. But his hands aren’t as trustworthy or consistent as other pass catchers on the roster. There is an opportunity for one of these young receivers to take on a sizable role in the offense with Williams out. It appears Guyton will get the first crack at it.
