Just the beginning.

The football student-athletes offered their thoughts in a statement: “As a team we are in full support of the decision to not compete in 2020. We have many health concerns and not enough is known about the potential long term effects of contracting COVID-19. Additionally, we have not had the optimal time to train mentally & physically to be properly prepared to compete this season. We love this game and love competing. We came to campus in the beginning of July knowing there would be challenges presented by the pandemic but it is apparent to us now that these challenges are impossible to overcome.”

Since they are now an independent, it makes scheduling much more difficult and in Covid almost impossible.  My guess is the University needed to do this for financial reasons as much as safety.

They still owe the AAC $17 million. They rely heavily on Basketball for revenue.

Remember, UConn makes a football like return for their AD because of BOTH of their basketball programs. The Big East will be huge for them, from playing teams their fans care about to less travel.

The pandemic is a convenient scapegoat for UConn.

Like the Ivy League, UConn had already gone to 'online only' for this semester. Having football this season made absolutely no sense at all.

Nostradamus Predictions and Prophecies OCCULT

UConn will likely cancel their 2021 football season as well. They have no conference games scheduled, no Big East football television contract, and they're not going to keep 85 players that can't practice for over a year on scholarship.

Watch for them to join for football only as an associate member of the FCS Patriot League or the Colonial Athletic Association in 2022 with all new players.

How does anyone think football is possible with a virus with a 99.9995% survival rate... maybe one day we will let herd immunity take place and quit the social distancing bs and continue with our lives like most other countries have. I predict it will Mysteriously disappear sometime after November.... 😉

Even as a bit, not funny.

NCAA rules require you to play at least 5 home games which UConn looked to meet when they cancelled BUT they also have to play at least 9 games meaning they needed three more. Only one of the two added games could be FCS so given the improbability of scheduling the minimum requirements they sat

Here’s what concerns me about the virus. There are two studies, small studies though, where younger individuals with mild symptoms were looked at and 3/4ths showed cardiac damage similar to a heart attack.

Maybe if Arkstfan says it someone will believe it, bc I am having no luck convincing anyone here that COVID isn’t just about deaths.
