Feeling like football is going to get pushed to the spring

I think once the first league makes the move others will follow (Ivy League votes soon). This this is much more likely below the FBS level. Will be interesting if some leagues/divisions opt for Spring and others for fall. Could make for some interesting last minute scheduling and as many programs are financially struggling they could jump at chances for money games.

It’s going to be tough a decision and, like you said, will vary by program. I’ve seen some people suggest if the season were moved to the spring we would possibly only have conference games so that teams could have adequate time off to start the next season in the fall.

If you’re UNT, would you rather have an 8-game schedule with fans or a 12-game schedule with limited fans or no fans at all? Could we fit in any of the non-conference games? We could really use that A&M paycheck. And for the big conferences, yeah they get good TV money but would it be more beneficial to wait if it meant significantly more ticket revenue? So much to get decided here in the next 30-45 days

Hopefully they will wise up and do what baseball is doing and have a regional schedule.  We should be paired with SMU, TCU, Baylor and OU as we could bus to games and it would be safer.

How is a bus safer than an airplane?

Yes. Incrementalism is best. Say you are going to play in the Spring, and then push it to next Fall. As they might say at Marshall, delay the Herd (immunity).

The longer they can drag it out the more donations and season tickets they can sell to offset their losses.  No doubt, this deal is going to be extremely tough on Smatresk and the like.  These million dollar coaching salaries have been insulated based on revenue.  How can a college charge as much when it will all be online???

@BillySee58 Have you heard anything about the number of players dressing out being limited? On one of the Sports talk shows, and I can't remember which, there was mention of capping it somewhere in the 60's

I have heard that likely being the case in NFL camps (sorry, Mason). Not sure about college.

I wonder if Mason could end up here as a Grad Assistant this next year??
