Wyndham Championship

Sebastian Munoz sits T26 at -6 through the second round and only four shots back.  Lot of coverage of his round today and mention UNT.

Carols Ortiz missed the cut at +1

Munoz is now back to E on his round through 16, -6 for the tournament and T16.  Ortiz is set to tee off at 12:33pm.  The current projected cut line is -2, so Ortiz needs to make a move.  Munoz should be safe for the weekend.

Munoz shot even par and is still at -6 and T27 overall.  Ortiz shot two over and missed the cut.

Crazy day.  Dustin Johnson is in the lead after shooting a 60 and Scotty Scheffler is in 2nd after shooting a 59.

Was four under in today’s round to finish at -12 and T18. Johnson is running away with it about to win by at least nine shots.

DJ wins by eleven shots after rounds of 67, 60, 64, and 63. Pretty incredible.

Ortiz playing in a group with some little unknowns today: One guy goes by the name of Bubba Watson. The third guy in the group is Tiger Woods. After 12 holes he is -1, the two others are even.

Munoz is also at -1.

So Ortiz ended up beating Watson by 2 strokes and Woods by 3 in the first round.  I'd have those two sign their cards and I'd frame that.  Hell, I might even just retire.

Round Two:

They both have 1:09pm tee times.  Munoz goes off the 10th tee with Scotty Scheffler and Lanto Griffin.  Ortiz is with Bubba and Tiger again, and they go off #1.  Both are tied for 4th at even par, as noted above.

The tournament will be carried on the Golf Channel from 2p - 6p today.

Good luck to both and Go Mean Green.

Munoz, like most players in the field, blew up a little in the 2nd round, but came back and shot -3 today and is currently tied for 12th. at +2 overall.  Ortiz is currently two over for round three through the 16th hole and is +6 overall and T31.

There are only three players currently under par in the field.  Matsuyama is leading at -2 and Todd and McElroy sit at -1.  Adam Scott is at even par and the rest of the field is over par, so Munoz had a great day and Ortiz is hanging tough.
