I like the pick axe ⛏ at utep. Perfect moniker for the Miners. Love the large sculpture that illuminates at night. Charlotte’s helmet looks pretty good too.

My wife dismissed it as nice.  Then, I made her look at it and explained what the  “C” and the pick stand for.  She says it’s a cool design.  Whew !

Well, Charlotte fans themselves have had an issue deciding what the 49'ers referred to, I guess they went with gold mining. 

With UTEP logo already well established, I would think Charlotte could come up with something more unique.
