Grades? Isn’t he a grad transfer?

Yeah, the only way grades is any sort of explanation is if they were good enough to graduate but not good enough to get into his desired grad school program at UNT, while also being good enough to get into a similar program at Hawaii. Also, he was a mechanical engineering major fwiw.

And if he really wanted to play for UNT again, he didn’t even have to take grad school classes.

Would be interesting to know what happened.  Something happened and we may never know.  He's gone and we move on.

The funny thing people keep overlooking is we had always planned on 2019 being Bussey’s last year anyways. We have recruited very well at the position and with Bussey going down with the injury early, we have more experience returning than we would’ve had he stayed healthy.

Absolutely.  Receiver is not an area where I think we should be concerned.

He must have graduated.  Otherwise, he’d have to sit out one season.

You can still graduate and not have the grades for certain Grad schools

According to CollegeFootballPrimeTime on Instagram, Bussey chose Hawaii over interests such as Nebraska, Miami, and Virginia Tech.

Interests ≠ Offers

Putting that here for those wondering if he received P5 interest or not.

I lived on Oahu for three years when I was a young sailor. If you have to be 20 years old and single, there is not a better place on earth to do it. Say hi to the derelicts at Anna Banana’s, Rico!

I don't get it unless he just wants the island life

yes they throw a lot...3 1000+ yd receivers last year, just thought he would land at a larger, more prominent school.

great for him to find a new place to play...will be watching late night hawaii games

Not even a power 5 transfer.  What a waste.

He didn't wear them when he was hanging out under the bleachers while his former teammates were on the field playing...

Grades

Seriously? Thought he was a grad transfer...if so, how can grades be an issue?

I didn't pick up on this but an earlier poster pointed out that some graduate courses required a certain GPA.  He could graduate and still not be eligible for some master's level courses.  However, Hawaii offers graduate work in Kow-a-bung-ga !  Dude.
