HoopScoop ranks JUCO players and overseas players. I think it's one of the few sites that do both, if not the only one.

I like seeing Baylor at #24. That is an encouraging after we lost Muhammad at the last second to Cincy (he was commited for 6 months and then changed 2 days before he signed his LOI). Plus, we are still in the race with Louisville for 5-star Palacios. It's been mentioned on HoopScoop that if we get him, we can expect a top 5 recruiting class. That would be unbelievable considering all the crap that has gone on down here in Waco in the past year.

And MTSU's top 4 recruits were JC, so obviously that site isn't down on JC.

BTW, I don't think I'm going to trust that site's rankings. MTSU and Lamar have better recruiting classes than Duke, North Carolina, Cincinatti, OK State, UConn, Kansas, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Syracuse, and Gonzaga? I seriously doubt that.

There's got to be something else going on. I highly doubt we were out recruited by Florida International, for example...

The fault in these rankings are that they go strictly by a points system.

For instance, you take 5 new guys, each worth an average of, lets say, 5 points a piece (out of 10), and that gives you 25 points.

However, if you only take 2 guys, but they are both unbelievable studs on the court, and they have 8-9 points each, then you still only have 16-18 points.

Therefore, the team that took (5) 5 point players is ranked higher than the one that took (2) 8-9 point players. Obviously, the second team has a much better recruiting class, unless of course they need numbers.

Hoop Scoop has a million different rankings. The best one is the one that ranks each team's recruiting by the average points per recruit contributes instead of the total number of points each team is able to conjur up.

Obviously, you can see that Lamar, even though they took 6 recruits, is only averaging 4.3 points per recruit. MTSU is a 5.2, and Memphis is #1 with only a 5.2. Texas, at #2 is averaging 7 points per recruit.

I'm more concerned about on-court/field performances then what some stats-nut thinks. We've been out-recruited in other sports within the Sun Belt and have done just fine.

NT signed two HS players:

Quincy Williams Carl Albert HS in OK6-7, 17.6 ppg, 9.5 rebounds, blocked 76, 39 steals and 39 asst/ Class 5A all State , by Daily Oklahoman

Michael Sturns North Crowley HS, FW...ranked # 22 in Texas by TX Hoops 6-4 guard.18.3 ppg3.7 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 steals.

Both were preseason HM all American by Street and Smith Both are very good signings for NT.

Isaac Hines JC was rated 3 *** by rivals, pt. gd 24 ppg, 7.,1 rebounds, 5.1 steasl and 4.4 assists. 4 time all City (Dallas) with 481 career steals which ranks 2nd most all time in the nation behind Jason Kidd.162 steals as a SR in HS.. All tournament in the Global games...which included players from KS, GA Tech, SMU's Bryan Hopkins and Miss State Lawrence Roberts.

I don't know that much about the 6-9 (not 6-8) JC kid from OK. or the 6-6 280 pd FW from Moberly CC...their stats in JC don't excite me, but I have never seen them play....certaintly that the 280 kid can go a black flip..

The OK FW chose NT over TCU, UH, NMSU and IUPUL-who is this?

The 6-6 kid had great stats in HS in Alabama..USA today Alabama HS player of the year, the states Mr. BB in HS. He is evidently very strong can bench 330 lbs and not may opposing players will push him around thats for sure.

Well, Trilli was a good recruiter but couldn't coach, and JJ seems like a good coach but the jury is still out as to if he can recruit.
