Lubbock-Cooper's Rodriguez accepted a preferred walk-on spot with Louisiana-Monroe and is playing there this year

Lubbock-Cooper offensive guard Chase Rodriguez (center) participated in a signing ceremony after accepting a preferred walk-on spot at the University of Louisiana-Monroe on Thursday at Lubbock-Cooper High School's Performing Arts Center in Woodrow.

It will be interesting to see how someone that asked to come here as a walk-on develops elsewhere.

We weren’t the only team he responded to. None of those schools offered either. Appears he was just looking for a place to play. Best of luck to him at ULM.
