Guess NCAA will be cancelling the tournament as well. Just huge fear mongering ad panic right now.

Does it really matter, we are all going to die, so cancel all sports so we can go home and huddle in the corner and forget all social norms and just be scared.

This isn't an overreaction at all.  I thought it was at first as well but I work at a hospital and have been in many meetings with Infection Control experts this week and this airborne virus spreads very quickly and is much stronger than the flu and will not go away when it gets warmer. I cannot stress enough if you have elderly relatives that have underlying conditions please be vigilant in who they come in contact with. Europe's healthcare system is rapidly collapsing because they were not vigilant enough.

About the only think I can see is them trying to shoehorn the NCAA tournament into May or something, but I doubt that happens.

SEC actually is cancelling all sports competition thru the end of March. Lots of sports officials just took a huge hit to the wallet. https://www.secsports.com/article/28891815/sec-suspends-regular-season-championship-competition

Most of the people upset about this who are calling it an overreaction probably won’t change their minds until it hits close enough to home for them. Or until it has reached high enough confirmed infection/death numbers to where they can’t keep posting the same meme comparing COVID-19 numbers to flu numbers.

Hopefully by taking precautions like this these people can still look back in a few months and think they were right about calling these actions overreactionary. But in reality these measures may be the reason we can prevent it from getting to the point it is in over in Italy.

how dangerous or not dangerous it is aside....the rapid spreading is causing the issues, fear, economic reaction, etc (again, we can argue if "what" is spreading is dangerous to the majority of people) but this really is the only way to slow/stop it....

The media control over this country is impressive.

Our PR agency just gave us some advice that may put us out of business without even hinting that it could negatively affect the trajectory of the business.  I may reach out and let them know we'll start paying them a percentage of sales once we implement their advice.
