UTEP is 2 - 7 away from El Paso.  The hold a 6 - 2  advantage vs. NT, but our two wins came in EP.  They are led by their guards, Boum (12.2 pts/gm) and Edwards (10.4 pts/gm) and F Bryson Williams is their leading scorer at 18.6 per game.  All that being considered, I predict the following:

North Texas wins by at least 12 points, and we hold them to 60 or less.

Fun fact, Souley Boum will be playing his first game in the Super Pit for UTEP but not his first game in the Super Pit altogether. He was San Francisco’s second leading scorer as a true freshman back in 2017-2018 for their CBI runner up team.

UTEP has lost 8 games, 4 of them have been by one possession and two others were within 5 points.  This is a tougher team than their record indicates.  I'm glad it's at home.

This will be my first game of the year and my daughter's first UNT basketball game.  Hope we leave happy.

GMG!

If not, Johnny Jones has to walk back to Houston backwards.

Make that 6K!

Absolutely !   With UNT finally playing such great basketball again, leading the conference, 6 wins in a row,  the Pit should be packed EVERY HOME GAME with at least 6000.  THESE ARE THE GOOD OLD DAYS - ENJOY EM.  Reminiscent of some exciting days under Coach Bill Blakeley in 1976.  WHY NOT UNT? WHY NOT NOW?

I hope the high end 6K predictions are right.  I know how long it takes for the buzz to spread on NT teams, so I'm still setting my expectations lower.

Crowd takes forever to build and no time at all to implode.

We’re still watching, keep it up! Good luck tonight. Won’t be able to watch because I don’t have + but with the time difference I’ll be following the score with 🍺 in hand.

Fun day today; VCU at noon, then conference 1 and 2 teams at 2pm.  at 6, two ex-VCU coaches when Texas and LSU meet(Heart wants Texas, head says otherwise)
cheers !

I agree. I'll be the first to ban her from the super pit for life. 🙂 I'd blame this football season on her, but she's been going to those for years.  However, we haven't won a conference championship since she was born.....hmmmmm?

I was in that crowd.  As long as I live I will not forget the atmosphere generated at the old Pit. It was greatness and the noise level would get so high that the metal walls of that arena would actually vibrate.  Oh, to bring that atmosphere back.
