The defense is usually consistent. It's the offense that has lulls, gets stagnant, has difficulty against better opponents. More work needed. -

Fry beat SMU by 2 tds in TX Stadium in ‘76. Only win EVER in Dallas for NT over ‘Stangs. Fry lost 6-7 in first outing against SMU in TX Stadium. Extra point looked good to me but Dallas refs though otherwise. -

Big dumb question.
They are still classified as student-athletes. Unless you change their title to employee the context of contracts is limited. And as we see with the kid leaving Wisconsin for Miami, ignoring his 2-year NIL contract with Wisconsin, there seems to be no penalty to the player to do so yet. -
