I doubt he really has a shot. Not after the season NT just had. Then again Baylor is not in a good position, the timing quite sucks for them, which could make it hard to pull the first choice candidates.

I wouldn't imagine they would change styles so drastically after having success with a program built with players pretty opposite of what Seth does.

I don't completely agree with this. Charlie Brewer is well-suited to Seth's style of offense.

Yes, but Brewer has had a series of concussions. There is a chance he won't be playing next year. Much like us, Baylor needs a LOT of OL help.

Reading Baylor news sources, none of them are listing Littrell as a possible target. Sonny Dykes, Josh Heupel, Blake Anderson, Joey McGuire and Jeff Nixon seem to be mentioned most often. But I'm not sure how much of that is reporters reading each other's article and then quoting each other.

Rhule showed the right coach can do well there - the job is no longer an impossible challenge.

Well, Well, Well maybe this is why he has named an OC yet.   String us along again, no denial or no interest statement so he is gone if they offer it.  If I was Were I start looking at resumes just in case because we will need to move fast. If he bolts what will be holding this team together, a new DC?

I heard Jeff Traylor was on their short list from family in the Waco area.

I certainly wouldn't put it past Traylor to jump to Baylor if they happen to offer him (highly unlikely) even though the ink on his UTSA contract is barely dried.

KWTX is quoting a "source with knowledge of the situation" that the one in house candidate is Joey McGuire and the top outside candidate is Billy Napier of Louisiana.

It should be pointed out no one had Rhule on any Baylor lists until it leaked that he was interviewing. Baylor has a lot of buy out money to play with, plus Rhule was one of the top 10 paid coaches in the country thanks to an extension from this summer.

SL has to be so bitter right now. That 4-8 putrid crap we thru out last season cost him millions per year at a P5 gig just like Baylor, where a year ago he would have quickly jumped at the chance to coach there if offered.

No raises, Wren. Don’t get swindled here.

If he is only using UNT as leverage for his next gig, then he is.

But if he actually gives a shit about making UNT a good program, he might be too focused on fixing the ship he's on.

Is this the annual Seth is leaving thread? He is not going anywhere after this disaster of a season. He had one of the top QBs in the country and we crapped the bed. He will be at UNT in the fall.

That 4-8 record and Baylor wants him....? LOL ...Come on... at this point if they want to pay up ...I say let'um have him if if they're that stupid. Way too many G5 coaches who win consistently available!
