If we are being honest, Taggart went off, made a ton of money, and is taking over a conference championship team in the conference he left a long time ago. It isn’t THAT bad.

exactly, other than attendance woes, FAU is still top of the heap in CUSA, 2 of last 3 Conference Titles say so.

Taggart's tale is one that Littrell could learn from.
He should have never left WKU (his Alma Mater).

Instead, he chased the bigger job, and failed... each time.   Now, he's stuck at FAU.   A worse job than WKU.

He only really failed at FSU. He turned around a struggling USF, went to two bowls in four years and had a 10 win season, the most in school history. Then, he had a winning season and sent Oregon to a bowl he didn't coach in, with what was an 8 loss team the year before, and immediately got a big raise to go to FSU.

He also made $40 million along the way.

So... Three jobs since FSU, two of them successful, enough money at those stops to live off $1 million+ per year without touching principal... And he's gone from Kentucky to Boca Raton.

Tip of the hat, Willie. I'm sure you can import a lithe, supple goat to the Atlantic coast if you miss the old WKU lifestyle.

Psh.   Never heard of them.    And $40,000,000?  I mean, when's too much, too much?

If he's lucky, he'll get the opportunity to coach in a combined C-USA East + SBC East dream league.

...mea culpa
