wouldn't Bussey be the only one 'expected'

Hope not, but I think you may be on to something with Bussey, although teams my shy away if his ACL isn't healed.

I am hoping all the QB's stay on at least through the spring.  Competition makes everyone better.

"If" Bussey were to transfer, he's worth the risk in my opinion to take a chance on. The force is strong with him

We need either grad transfers or someone that will have three years of eligibility after they sit out. Maybe two years if a top player at a position of long term need. Otherwise stick to high school recruiting and plugging with Dec grad JUCO.

Getting someone like this now would pi$$ me off even more about how the coaches screwed over M-Fine in his final season.

To be fair they did sign an ACC grad transfer but he was injured quite often

Fair.  It also showed me things can be worse than Jordan Murray.  At least he was big enough to force a longer trip to the backfield.

I was under the impression we need a lot of help across both lines.

If you think all it takes is Duffy plus one playmaker on either side of the line, then maybe I need to re-evaluate the situation.

Defensive scheme & mindset change is necessary. This will come with the new DC.   Gotta hire the right one.
Duffy is an awesome player.  He'd step right in and provide a solid spark, and possibly help us keep Bussey around.
Need OL help for sure, but more importantly, need someone to teach those guys.
