He also has a pretty shady background, doesn't he?

I posted this on another forum about Traylor.

He had a program at Gilmer where he would get kids with rough backgrounds to be sponsored by members of the community. A kid I played little league through 9th grade was one of these kids. His sophomore year he moved to "Dallas", but his junior and senior year he was living with an older couple in Gilmer. They gave him a car, and bought him pretty much whatever he wanted. Our little league coach passed away a few years ago, and he was telling us all of the details at the funeral visitation. I had heard similar stories when I was in high school, but to hear this account first hand from a former player was ridiculous.

He's known for being a very good recruiter.  Was on the short lists of up and coming OCs recently.  Could be a good hire for Sack.

He's never been an OC. Just a position coach.

Yeah I should have been clearer.   He's been on a short list of potential OCs for several teams.  He was also an associate head coach for offense at a couple of stops.

Looks like he has decided to bring the Arkansas TE coach over to be his OC.

There was already a lot of "meh" from the UTSA fan base on the Traylor hire.    Bringing in a guy who has also never even been a coordinator before isn't going make them any happier.
